Battlefield South Carriage Tour

Experience the Gettysburg National Military Park from a unique perspective—at the pace of history. Ride in comfort aboard one of our modern horse-drawn carriages, guided by a Licensed Battlefield Guide.

As your teamsters manage the carriage and team of horses, your guide will lead you through the southern end of the battlefield, highlighting key locations such as the Peach Orchard, Emmitsburg Road, and Sherfy Farm. The open design of the carriage offers excellent visibility and an immersive storytelling experience.

The experience concludes with an overview of the battle’s aftermath, including the creation of the Soldiers' National Cemetery and the sobering task of burying the dead. It’s an unforgettable opportunity to walk—literally and figuratively—in the footsteps of history, while uncovering often-overlooked details of the Battle of Gettysburg.

The Battlefield South Carriage tour leaves from 2190 Emmitsburg Rd. CLICK HERE for directions. Please note, you MUST pre-book your tour.

Culp's Hill Battlefield Carriage Tour

Let's ride into history on a two-hour horse-drawn carriage ride through Culp's Hill sector of the Gettysburg Battlefield. As our carriage passes through the area of the longest continuous sustained fighting of the battle, our Licensed battlefield Guide will describe for you the action on the right flank of the Union Army during those three fateful days in July of 1863 as Confederate forces attempted to overrun the strong defensive position held by the Union forces.

Although the Gettysburg residents of the time regarded Culp's Hill as the most important part of the battle, visitation here today is eclipsed by the action at the left flank in places like Little Round Top and the Peach Orchard. Join us as we explore our history, and then, you decide.

The Culp's Hill Battlefield Carriage tour leaves from 1 Lefever Street. CLICK HERE for directions. Please note, you MUST pre-book your tour.
